Children and Families

A lively and inclusive church that welcomes families, children and young people in our church community. Our beautiful churchyard, meadow (Daphne’s Field) and woodland area give us the opportunity to develop outdoor activities.

We run special events for children and families including
• Christmas Crib Services for all the family on Christmas Eve afternoon
• Christingle Service
• Outdoor Bonfire and Barbecue service
• Seasonal children’s workshop sessions with art, craft and outdoor activities
• Summer Family Sports/Fun Day

Baptism

ALL AGE WORSHIP

Next All Age Service: Sunday 3 March- 

Join us for our monthly All Age Worship – a Communion Service with a simpler format more accessible for children, with opportunities for them to take part in music, prayers and readings and learn about the Christian faith

Little Fishes

Sunday School Group for younger children with a parent or carer with Bible stories explored through a mix of words, music, play and simple craft. We meetduring the 10am service, usually twice a month during term time, finishing in time to walk to church and join in the last part of the Communion Service.  Little Fishes is in the Church Room (Ovingdean Nursery) in winter months and in The Wulf’s Den though spring and summer.

Wulf in the Woods
Woodland Play Sessions

Starting  Saturday 20 April lasting from 2pm-3.30pm, in the woodland behind St Wulfran’s Church – a pilot scheme for  six weeks. An opportunity for child-led play, for 4-8 year-olds, facilitated by experienced Outdoor and Forest School leaders.
